Pleasant autumn evenings lend themselves to decadent dining, fresh flavors, and good company. With such vibrant produce and sentiment, forgo standard paper plates and instead consider re-usable products that bring color and conscience to the table. Serve up your blueberry salad and succulent sausages with tangy mustard on something as crave-able as they are.

A few favorites for color and content:
1. BAMBU brand (www.bambuhome.com) veneer plates, flatware, serving trays, and darling little serving pieces (yes, that really is a little spork!!) are the perfect answer to your beach bash or for a little sass at the neighborhood potluck! You can find them at our oh-so-welcome Whole Foods Market or online. Place these on a vibrant tablecloth with printed napkins and you have the makings of a fine table.
2. Ah, the once-around treasures… How clever is a collection of mismatched vintage plates, silver and tumblers, pulled together with one or two common colors for a breath of bohemian bliss?! We’ve got some great venues for the hunt, including Red Chair, Junkee, the antique malls, and never forget the possibilities of our often well-stocked thrift depots! Pick paisleys, rings, always with a common color, and then work in another with your napkins, tablecloth and serve-ware.
3. Also available at Whole Foods or online is the Preserve brand (manufactured by Recycline from recycled plastic products, www.recycline.com) plates and flatware that will definitely satisfy a bold color craving!
Enjoy the Indian summer and color it happy!
