Toxicity is becoming an increasingly large concern as we begin to learn about the negative effects commonly found toxins have over time on our health, the health of our children, and the environment. Concerning health, there is evidence linking toxins to a wide variety of problems, especially in children, including learning and behavioral problems, damage to the nervous system, and asthma, among others. Toxins can also harm pets.

One place where toxic chemicals can be found aplenty is in cleaning and freshening agents. Thankfully, for just about every cleaning and freshening need there is a nontoxic (and really inexpensive!) option, many of which you can make at home!
