Frank Lloyd Wright at Nevada Museum of Art

Frank Lloyd Wright has been recognized by the American Institute of Architects, among others, as “the greatest American architect of all time.” But his interests didn’t just focus on building design; Wright approached the house as a whole, expanding his interest to also cover every detail of interior design, including carpets, furniture, light fixtures, and more.
A feature show at the Nevada Museum of Art, April 19 through July 13, highlights this aspect of Wright’s interests. From opening up space and then segmenting it into sections with tactics such as furniture layout and design, to integrating all home design to create an organic whole, there are a bevy of design ideas in this exhibition that you can apply in your own home.

And, this is in line with Wright’s beliefs; he was a firm advocate of the idea that every home should be beautifully designed. This exhibition shows you the ways he envisioned that.
